Flight booked, hotel booked, activities booked, now it’s time to pack your bag. Here are some must-have travel essentials I always travel with that you need to add to your list! I’m not going to list every single item (that will just add extra weight and take up space in your bag) so I’ll list what I believe are must-haves. These items aren’t only found online, you can check out Target, Walmart, TJ Maxx, literally any department store, and even your local drug store. Here are your must-have travel essentials.

Battery Pack – This has saved my life more than I can count. After a whole day out exploring a new place the last thing I want to worry about is my phone’s battery. Battery packs have sometimes lasted me days charged since I would only use it when my phone’s battery was severely low. I wouldn’t worry about the battery backs taking up too much space since they are about the size of a cell phone! To this day I still use the first one I ever received and it’s a pretty decent size. The battery pack fits in my crossbody travel bag without taking up too much space. (Battery packs must be carried in your carry-on and won’t be allowed to go in your checked bag.)

Packing Cubes– When it comes to packing I tend to overpack. This is not a good thing at all! This leaves me with no space to purchase souvenirs of where I visited (haha). I aim to only pack what I will use for the upcoming year and not pack extra (wish me luck!). After buying packing cubes they have come in pretty handy with fitting several outfits in my luggage with enough room for souvenirs!

Hanging Toiletry BagAnother must-have travel essential…More organization of course! Whether you’re already organized or not, this is the best thing to keep your toiletries together. If you’ve stayed at a hostel you know to minimize space. For example, you have to take your toiletries with you whenever you’re going to shower or use the restroom. Just having everything accessible in one place makes it easier when you’re not home where everything has a place.

As I mentioned before I’m an over-packer! So of course these are just my top three must-have travel essentials. Some other items that you should pack are:
